This picture makes me think of two wrestlers, one restraining and pinning the other down. The referees are on either side of them and the fans are all around them, cheering and yelling at them. There is something significant about the referee on the right because he is red and is surrounded by bright yellow and light blue. He seems to be having and argument with a person in the crowd. Perhaps it is an angry parent who does not like what is happening. Whatever it is, it seems more important than the wrestling match itself. It seems to be a case of side issues becoming more Important than the main event.
I see the brown figure facing left as restraining the one facing right. Restraining as to allow the little red figure to make her request of the larger one she is facing.
It feels as if the one being restrained is only wanting to protect.
