  1. Hummmm! Passing: I just read the Sunday paper about Green Burials, which is what I want for myself. This watercolor is such a soothing, ethereal vision of what dieing would be like. I have witnessed my mothers death and many others as a Hospice Volunteer coordinator and worker…..I have to say it was such an honor to be allowed to be present at the moment the “passing” took place. So surreal, calm, beautiful, fearless, all accepting. That’s what I have experienced. I’m sure not all deaths are like that. Your “Passing” does illuminate the calm beauty of retuning to the place we began….so close to spirit. Thank you for this beautiful piece. Truly the ” Theatre of the Soul”

  2. I see the green color of life and health separating from the body of the dying man. As he breathes his last breath, his body turns grey and reddish brown signifying the loss of life. The orange person is a hospice nurse who is encouraging the family on the left to reach out and be with their dying loved one. She comforts them and helps them deal with this passage. They are grateful for support during this difficult time. In the center is a white circle surrounded by a blue haze of a body. It is the spirit of the dying man leaving his body. To the right, angels are waiting to escort him to his next level of existence. On the right are deceased family members who are excited and waiting to greet him.
