I can see/feel the first of spring in this painting… the shades of pale green showing on various trees, the movement of the blue waters just beginning to show from beneath the white, lavender-streaked ice. I can hear the sound of the river’s flow. It’s loud! Is that you I see-standing quietly in your brown jacket along the bridge-,behind a mound of dirty snow- watching the end of winter arriving? I, too, am yearning for spring.
