  1. Today is the burial day of a good man. His body has been placed in the earth and a large J-shaped burial marker has been placed over the gravesite. The deep blue strip represents the man’s son. The son reaches down to the stone to make some connection. Tendrils which represent pain and sorrow fall from his body as he leaves the burial site. The son is moving on because the pain and sorrow are over now. A new time of healing, remembering and honoring has now begun. The son’s cousin is dressed in red, representing the love and support she is giving him. The son and his cousin look back one last time as they depart, ready to start a new chapter of their lives. They are sad at their loss but at the same time feel a new sense of lighthearted freedom. They are full of hope for the future of their families.
