With his tall over-powering friends, he doesn’t look unhappy, so perhaps he projects their size onto himself. For me they would be a bit intimidating. But the colors are lovely and suggest support with no harm in mind. Also the verticals give a sense of connection between the earthly and the celestial which alone could be supportive.
